Gearbox Software: Studio works on Brothers in Arms
Randy Pitchford is an American business owner. He co-founded video game development studio Gearbox Software in 1999 and also was president and also CEO for the company.
In the interview with Game Maker's notebook podcast Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford mentioned that a new game from the Brothers in Arms-Universum was developed, but the catastrophic publication of Aliens Colonial Marines called the reason that there was nothing closely announced.
Pitchford believes that one of the reasons for the failure of Aliens: Colonial Marines was that the game was announced too early.
The ink was not even dry and they could not be different, Fox and Sega. , Says Pitchford. Fox was so excited that they wanted to let the world know that their license business is going well.
And Sega was so excited that they wanted to let the world know that they are trying to enter larger AAA stuff and complete a few right bets. So the contract was not even signed and she announced this deal.
And at the moment you listen to Gearbox and Aliens and Unreal Engine, everyone has already designed the game in his own mind and therefore there is no hope for us.
Gearbox Software has been accused of having shown early demo versions for the game, which looked much more impressive than the final product.
That's so unusual, because we all tend to wait with the announcement of something, says Pitchford. I mean, I have not announced Borderlands 3 before it was in the beta.
And it's shit because I know that there is a lot of people ... we work on another brother in Arms game, but I say nothing before we do not have it.
And we have fans who really love this [series], and they will just have to suffer.
Gearbox Software developed after Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 All main games of the series, which ended in 2008 with Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway on consoles and PC.
